Angry Birds Movie 3 to release in India on 1 January 2027 with Sonic cameo

AnimationXpress reports that Paramount Pictures has unveiled a trailer for The Angry Birds Movie 3, set to release in Indian cinemas on 1 January 2027 in English and Hindi. The film follows Red navigating fatherhood as the flock encounters comic clashes, evolving family dynamics and high-flying action. The soundtrack features a new track by Blackpink's Jisoo titled Sun Showers.

The biggest surprise is a crossover featuring Sonic the Hedgehog, who appears racing through a forest alongside Chuck, the flock's yellow bird, before the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 in March 2027. The film is produced by John Cohen, Dan Chuba, Carla Connor and Namit Malhotra, directed by John Rice, with a screenplay by Thurop Van Orman. The voice cast includes Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Rachel Bloom, Danny McBride, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and others.
