Alan Walker to headline BGMI esports tournament in Mumbai

AnimationXpress reports that Norwegian-British DJ and record producer Alan Walker will perform at the Battlegrounds Mobile India International Cup (BMIC) 2026, a three-day esports tournament in Mumbai running 30 October to 1 November at the Dome, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (SVP) Indoor Stadium (NSCI). Walker's track Hero became BGMI's lobby anthem in 2024 through the Be A Hero campaign. The tournament will bring together 16 teams—six from India, five from South Korea and five from Japan—competing for a Rs 1 crore prize pool and qualification berths for the Global Championship 2026. India's contingent comprises BMSD 2026 champions iQOO Soul, Gladiators Esports, iQOO 8Bit, K9 Esports, Blitz Epigrotive Gaming and Outrage Esports. Walker will open the tournament on stage. Krafton India associate director of esports Karan Pathak stated the partnership connects gaming and music: "Bringing Alan Walker to BMIC 2026 takes that association from the game to the live stage."
