Anime India brings Bleach director Noriyuki Abe to Hyderabad festival on 14–15 November

AnimationXpress reports that Anime India, India's largest anime and Japanese pop culture festival, will take place in Hyderabad on 14 and 15 November 2026. The event will feature Noriyuki Abe, legendary director of the Bleach anime series and films, who will meet Indian fans and discuss the creative process behind the iconic franchise. The two-day festival will include a cosplay competition with a prize pool exceeding Rs 3 lakh, a Versus Japanese Gaming Arena, Free Fire tournament, anime screenings, quiz competitions, a Beyblade competition, and an anime concert followed by a DJ party. Co-founder Mishaal Wanvari noted that the festival positions itself as a platform bringing Japanese creators and Indian audiences closer, ahead of the 75th anniversary of India–Japan partnership in 2027.
