BGMI Air locks in December launch after 14 million pre-registrations

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Air will launch on 10 December 2026, AnimationXpress reports. Krafton India's lighter mobile version of BGMI has already topped 14 million pre-registrations on Google Play before its official release date.

The company will run closed beta testing from 20 to 24 November across Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata, with selected players able to join by posting a video on Instagram explaining why they should test the game. BGMI Air requires approximately one gigabyte for initial download, targeting players whose devices or storage constraints have prevented them from accessing the full BGMI experience.

The new game runs as a separate app but allows existing BGMI players to jump in without transferring accounts. Krafton India will share further pre-launch details and rewards through BGMI Air's official social media channels.
