Studio Jadu releases AI-assisted supernatural thriller The Sentinels
AnimationXpress reports that Studio Jadu has premiered a supernatural thriller series titled The Sentinels, created by horror author Ajinkya Bhasme. The Halloween special, titled Greed, Betrayal, and Death on North Sentinel Island, launched on 30 October on Studio Jadu's YouTube channel, combining the first three episodes into one continuous viewing experience. Set during Christmas 2004 in the Andaman Sea, the story follows a group of strangers on an illegal expedition to North Sentinel Island, where a mysterious red mist draws out buried memories and threatens their survival. Directed by Nitin Burli and Sree Lakshmi, with Ruchir Joshi supervising, the series was produced using Studio Jadu's AI director's assistant (Aida). Nine artists led storytelling, production design and performances, with AI supporting rather than replacing human creativity. The visual treatment employs watercolour-inspired backgrounds and oil-painted fire effects to create psychological horror. Studio Jadu founder Masoud Loghmani stated, "The Sentinels is an important step forward for us because it validates that artists can deliver a clear sense of authorship while using these new age tools."
