Riot Games and JioBlast open VCT 2027 Kickoff Qualifiers for South Asia

Riot Games has partnered with JioBlast to run the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2027 Kickoff Open Qualifiers for South Asia, AnimationXpress reports. Two teams will earn spots at Kickoff Asia-Pacific through the competition, which runs from 17 to 29 November, with registration closing on 13 November.

The tournament unfolds in two stages: an open qualifier using Swiss-stage format on 17 to 20 November, followed by double-elimination playoffs from 23 to 29 November. The top eight teams from the open qualifiers advance. Players must hold at least Ascendant one rank and meet residency and account eligibility requirements.

JioBlast CEO Charlie Cowdrey stated the partnership reflects commitment to strengthening South Asia's competitive ecosystem. Riot Games India and South Asia publishing lead Anushka Bhatnagar called the VCT 2027 format "an exciting step forward in making Valorant Esports more accessible." Playoffs will stream on JioBlast and Valorant YouTube channels, plus JioTV.
