Coloco Group expands broadcast and cinema portfolio to 100-plus brands

AnimationXpress reports that Coloco Group, led by owner Pinkal Rambhia, unveiled its broadcast and cinema distribution operations at India's Broadcasting and Infotainment Show. The group, comprising seven companies with nearly 1,300 employees, now distributes over 100 brands of professional equipment including dry cabinets, lighting, and production gear.

QuantmPic, the group's B2B division, serves broadcast and cinema professionals, acting as India's national distributor for RMI dry cabinets and NiceFoto lighting equipment, while also representing Atomos, Teradek, SmallHD, and Sony across western regions.

Founded in 1981 as a printing and photo lab business, Coloco has evolved into a multi-segment operation spanning distribution, trading, and manufacturing. Rambhia stated the group will continue expanding its portfolio as new technologies emerge, positioning itself to supply whatever equipment the broadcast and cinema industries require next.
